Baby Mark Update

Well I know its been a while as always but Mark is asleep right now so I thought I would do a quick update.

He is getting so big and gets more fun everyday. He loves exploring and has mastered the army crawl. He gets into everything he can get his hands on. Luckily he is still a little slow so I have time to stop him before he gets into too much trouble. But I am sure he will only get faster and faster. He loves sitting up and looking around and since he has been able to do that my life has been so much easier. At least now he doesn't have to be held 24/7.

Disneyland: March 2, 2011

Last Wednesday Mark turned 6 months old and Gramma Debbie took us to Disneyland! It was obviously Marks first time and it was a lot of fun. It was a long day and he did really good. :) He loved walking around and looking at all the people. I took him on a few rides and he HATED them! He was so scared and cried the entire time! His first ride as Pinocchio and he only cried a little bit on that. But then I took him on Pirates of the Caribbean. Now that was a BAD idea! He screamed his head off the whole time. I felt like the worst mom in the world. He was terrified and there was nothing I could do to stop him from freaking out. After that we took a little break and for his last ride I took him on Small World- but he was still hesitant. I think he lost all trust in rides. He didn't cry as bad on that one but he was still very unsure. Needless to say, I think he is still a little young for Disneyland so it may be another year or two before we go back. But I am glad we went and got to spend time with the Stewart girls. :)

Six Flags: March 6, 2011

Well Mark is a party animal! He went to Disneyland and Six Flags Magic Mountain within 4 days of each other! After we went to Disneyland we got a call from Melissa and Jack making plans to go to 6 Flags so of course Jimmy and I say lets go for it! I am not going to lie, it was pretty crazy to do, but Mark was such a trooper. He was such a good boy again. :) He was so cute with the characters too. He LOVED them!

We had a lot of fun with Jack, Melissa, and Uncle Will. Looking back it was a fun week and I am so glad we did it. Tiring, but fun! :) Baby is waking up! Gotta jam! :)

El Segundo Baby Shower

So I think I honestly have the best family in the world. My aunts in El Segundo gave me a baby shower and it was so much fun! We had amazing taco salads with my favorite guacamole and salsa made by my aunt Trish. :)

I also had another very fun surprise at my shower. My best friend and roommate from college, Mary, showed up without telling me! I thought she was in Washington DC and as she was walking up to the house I didn't even recognize her! I was like who is this girl? She must be coming here because she has a baby gift bag in her hand. It took a few seconds but then I realized it was Mary! :) She has made it to all of my main events in life since college- bridal shower, wedding, and now baby shower. :)

I got a lot of great gifts and seriously after that I cant think of much else I need. I even have some gift card money left over to put towards diapers. :) Jimmy's very happy to hear that. We feel so loved and have so much support from everyone. It really does help us out tremendously as we begin our new little family. I feel so grateful for all that I have been blessed with in my life and to begin this new chapter. It makes it a lot easier with a loving and supportive husband and with great friends and family who are there along the way. Thanks so much to everyone! We love you!

US Open-Huntington Beach

So Saturday we went to the US Open and got VIP passes thanks to Kathy and Tyler. Tyler competed in the Noserider Competition and did great! It was so fun to watch him and all of the other pro surfers there. They are so good its crazy! Thanks to our VIP passes we were able to meet Jimmy's favorite surfer Rob Machado. He was so cool and super nice. When we asked him to take a pic with us he was totally cool about it and Jimmy asked him if it would be weird for him to touch my stomach, but he was like "oh ya, for sure!" haha So awesome! I think I felt the baby move in excitement! lol For sure he is going to be a pro surfer now. Rob sent him all of his good vibes. I am thinking we may need to name the baby Rob now. lol Jimmy and Jack also got a pic with Kelly Slater, Joel Tudor, and Cory Lopez. It was such a fun day. I think Jimmy died and went to heaven. He is still thinking about it! He even said that the pic of us and Rob is our most prized possession. Oh and of course afterwards, Jimmy had to get in the water himself and do a little surf session. We went down to Newport though to avoid some of the crowds. It was a long day for a 37 week pregnant women and I was quite swollen by the end of it but all in all it was worth it and such a fun weekend!

As for a baby update, only 3 weeks left! We are so excited for this little guy to come into our lives. We love him to death already! He is so fun to feel moving all around. (Even though now he is more like kicking and abusing my ribs more then anything. lol) My doctor said he can now come at anytime and he will be perfectly fine. It is very good to hear that, but it also kind of makes me more anxious. Its like, ok little man I know you are healthy enough to come out of there, so just come out already! lol But anyways, life is good and we are happy! We will keep you posted on the baby updates this month! :)
